2008 ANZAC Batemans Bay Regatta
ABOUT THE CLUB
Location
The Club’s current premises are situated at Hanging Rock Place, Batemans Bay which is used as a base for its off the beach activities. Its keel boat activities are focused at the Batemans Bay Marina, Beach Road, Batemans Bay.
Keel Boats
The majority of the Club's fleet of thirty keel boats are regular participants in the Club's Bay Cup and Coastal series. The main keel boat events include -
· a Bay Cup Series of 10 races;
· a Coastal Cup Series of 6 races;
· a Ladies Skippers' Series of 4 races;
· a Winter Series of 5 races.
· sprint races in the Clyde River as part of events in Batemans Bay.
A major event on the keel boat calendar is the Port Hacking/Batemans Bay Regatta, involving races at Port Hacking, a passage race from Port Hacking to Batemans Bay and races on the Bay itself. This regatta is for the family sailor, not the elite. The 2007 Port Hacking/Batemans Bay Regatta is expected to attract in excess of forty or so entrants.
Off the Beach.
The off the beach fleet is headed by Tasar sailors who have enjoyed considerable success both inter-State and overseas. The main off the beach events are –
Narooma Sailing Club.
Narooma based members of the Club sail off the beach events in the name of the Narooma Sailing Club under a delegation from the Club.

Membership
Batemans Bay Sailing Club has approximately 150 members, of whom just under 100 are active sailing members.
